Circa 19: Coffee Bags

It all started with a huge, streamlined coffee grinder I purchased. Not shown here. I think the large paper surface of the bags lent themselves to needing great design. I believe each grocery or drug store, ground beans to order for each customer and placed the beans, in many cases, in a custom imprinted bag from the store. I wonder where the individual coffee companies got their beans before roasting? I need to do more research. I'm thinking maybe Cuba? That makes it more mysterious.
