Posters have long been the ideal design medium. Even today, theatrical posters have huge budgets and hours spent on them. But, years ago, without the electronic media, billboards and posters ruled the day. Especially, travel posters. In an era when even great color photos didn't exist of far away places––let alone, travel shows and TV specials––traveling to these enticing, exotic destinations were a real adventure. And many times it was the posters that stirred the soul and captured the imagination. Advertsing products weren't far away, with prime space inside train and bus stations reserved for this media, these large posters were the art of their day featuring the top illrstuators and designers of the day.
